 Property Tax News

  • On Friday, July 28, 2017, the Georgia Dept. of Revenue accepted the 2017 Tax Digest. A copy of the billing order can be found here. The process of calculating Real and Personal Property tax bills has been started and bills are scheduled to be mailed on or before August 15, 2017.

  • Mailing Convenience Fee for License Plates - Effective Jan 1st, 2017

  • You can also request an RIN to renew online at the Department of Revenue's website--no renewal notice is needed! To find out how much you owe, check out this calculator.
  • Beginning on January 1, 2017, the Georgia Department of Revenue, in cooperation with the counties and motor vehicle dealers of the State of Georgia, will be offering a modified option for motor vehicle purchasers to obtain their license plates.  Motor vehicle purchasers may have their license plates mailed directly to the address of their choice for a Mailing Convenience Fee of $5.00.  If a motor vehicle purchaser does not wish to pay this fee, the license plate may be obtained at your local County Tag Office with no delivery charge.  

    Please note that this fee will only apply when motor vehicle dealerships use the Electronic Title and Registration (“ETR”) process.
